Crown FC hosted and swept aside Solution FC of Anambra in a week 15 game of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The game, which was held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, saw the Ajilete Warriors resuscitate their promotion ambitions.
Goals from Emmanuel Maurice as early as the third minute and Kayode Yusuf in the seventeenth minute gave coach Raheem Tajuden’s side a two goal lead inside the first twenty minutes.
A corner kick from the left flank by sensational midfielder Folarin Temitope landed perfectly on the head of fullback Emmanuel Maurice who sent a bullet header past the Solution FC goaltender.
Temitope would then get involved again in the build up to the second goal when he won possession high up the pitch to set up Emmanuel Solomon who beat his man with consummate ease before setting up Yusuf to slot into an open goal.
There were to be no more goals as the hosts managed and controlled the affairs throughout the remainder of the game.
The victory takes Crown FC to second spot on the log on 24 points, two adrift of leaders Osun United who have played a game more.
It was an overall good and improved performance from the Ogbomoso based side who now shift attention to next weekend when they make the long trip to the South South to face Warri Wolves in Delta.
