Honey Badgers continued their perfect run of the 2024/25 NWFL Championship, picking their second win of the campaign following a nervy victory against Fortress Ladies who remain winless.
Liadi Bashiru’s side fell behind in the 3rd minute, conceding one of the fastest goal of the competition but they did get themselves back in the game just four minutes after when a low cross found their striker to restore parity.
It was 1-1 after half time as Honey Badgers pushed for more goals and they did get ahead few minutes after the second half resumption. The goal would prove to be the only separator as they ran out eventual winners.
They backed up the 4-2 victory against Dreamstar Ladies yesterday with another 1-2 victory, scoring a total of six goals in two games, conceding three.
Fortress Ladies meanwhile are still winless although they have a point gotten from the draw against Kwara Ladies yesterday.
