Doma United safe hands Kingdom Osayi edged closer to an NPFL record in the match against Kwara United on Saturday.
The 19 year old goaltender who only just returned from a long layoff a couple of weeks ago kept yet another clean sheet for the Savannah Tigers.
Doma United hosted the Afonja Warriors at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe State on Saturday evening.
The match had Osayi, chasing the record of 16 clean sheets in a single NPFL season go up against Adeyinka, who is the current record holder.
The encounter was a tight one as both teams have little away in what eventually ended in a barren draw.
One positive from the match was Kingdom Osayi keeping his 14th clean sheet of the season in just his 24th game.
He is now just two more away from the record set by Kwara United’s Adewale Adeyinka in the 2020/2021 season.
The Doma United goalkeeper has been hailed as the next big thing in the goalkeeping department of Nigerian football given his prowess in goal and his skill set at playing with his feet.
