Africa’s Biggest Face Off: AFCON 2025 Qualifiers Draw Set For July 4th

AFCON 2025 – The excitement continues as the qualifiers for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 is set kick off with the draw on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The draw will be held at SuperSport studios at 2:30 PM South African time as officially communicated by CAF.

48 Teams will vie for glory, including the champions from the preliminary round: Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan. They’ll be divided into 12 groups of four teams each, battling for a spot in the finals.

The draw promises legendary clashes! Reigning champions Cote d’Ivoire will be present, alongside powerhouses like Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, and many more.

The qualifiers kick off in September 2024, with the goal of selecting the 24 teams that will compete for Africa’s biggest football tournament: the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next year.

Following the electrifying performance of the host nation at AFCON 2023 in Cote d’Ivoire, we can expect an exceptional journey leading up to the 35th edition of this prestigious competition. CAF legends, team representatives, and organizers will all be present for the much-anticipated draw ceremony.
