African Games Accra 2023: Draws Released With Another Nigeria Vs Cameroon Battle On The Cards

The African Games Accra 2023 football competition’s official draw took place in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on Thursday, February 1.

There will be eight (8) women’s teams and nine (9) men’s teams competing in the competition, which takes place from March 8–24, 2024.

The multi-sport continental event will be in its 13th iteration; the first one was held in Congo in 1965.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 is already underway. CAF Legends Amanda Dlamini and Emmanuel Eboue conducted the draw which resulted in some intriguing results for both the men’s and women’s divisions.

Group A in the women’s division places hosts Ghana alongside Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Uganda, a rising power while Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, and Morocco are competing for the top two spots in Group B.

In the men’s division, debutants The Gambia, Benin, and Congo—winners of the first edition in Group A—will compete against host Ghana.

Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia will compete against one another in Group B.
