AFCON 2023: CAF Confirm Team Arrival Schedule In Abidjan

As the globe awaits the opening match of one of Africa’s biggest showpiece on January 13, 2024, African Champions Senegal will touch down in Ivory Coast on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 as revealed by CAF while FIFA globe Cup semi-finalists Morocco will arrive on Sunday, January 7.

Prior to everyone else, Morocco and Guinea-Bissau will come for the competition on Sunday, January 7, 2024 with the two teams expected to arrive as it will be a significant milestone for the inaugural game.

The Atlas Lions, who placed fourth in the previous tournament in Cameroon, are grouped in Group F with the Taifa Stars of Tanzania, the 2012 winners Zambia, and the two-time champions DR Congo.

In the CAF championship’s history, the 1976 winners will be making their 19th appearance while three-time champions Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria round out the group.

Tanzania is expected to arrive from Dar es Salaam at noon on Monday, January 8, 2024 with current holders Senegal, who are seeking to successfully defend the championship they won in Cameroon two years ago expected to arrive in Abidjan on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Record seven-time winners Egypt and Mozambique are also scheduled to compete on Tuesday.
