AFCON 2023: Ademola Lookman Powers Super Eagles Past Cameroon To Ease Into Quarter-final

Super Eagles of Nigeria have now booked a semi final spot following the 2-0 victory against Cameroon in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Coted’Ivoire.

Goals from Ademola Lookman in either half of the clash saw Jose Peserio’s side emerge as deserved winners as they chase a 4th AFCON title with the last conquest coming in 2013.

There was a late injury scare for first choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali who was replaced by Uzoho but fans will be hoping that’s it’s nothing serious looking into the remaining games of the tournament has he ha proved to be reliable in between the sticks.

Up next for Super Eagles is the semi final match up against Angola who defeated Namibia in a feisty clash where both sides saw red earlier today on 2nd Feb 2024.
