The Nigeria National League (NNL) have announced sanctions for players and officials of different clubs across the federation stemming from the last round of league games with Mohammed Salim getting a 10 match ban.
Not less than three controversial and unsporting cases were recorded across different geopolitical zones of the NNL.
In order to maintain fair play and accordance in the second tier of nigerian forkball, the NNL have hereby taken judicial decisions on the under-listed players and officials with warnings to some.

CASE 1: JIGAWA GOLDEN STARS VS SPORTING SUPREME FC
Sequel the video evidences and the official match reports received on the above named match, it is established that the Referee messed up with the integrity of the league.
However, the league adjudicates as follows:
- That the result of the match stands.
- That the Jigawa Golden Stars FC player with jersey no. 9 Mohammed Salim has been suspended for the remaining part of 2023/2024, and the entire 2024/2025
League season. - That Jigawa Golden Stars FC has been fined the sum of N1,000,000.00 for breach of Security.
CASE 2: SOKOTO UTD FC VS KEBBI UTD FC
The Committee noted that the Referees calls were inconsistent.
i.
That the Referee allowed Kebbi Utd FC player by name Gabriel Jerman spotting jersey No. 5 whom he earlier issued a red card to remain on the field.
Therefore in the verge of giving justice the League hereby revise the red card issued to the said player.
Sokoto Uid FC shall play their next home match under strict close doors.
“CASE 3:
ABIA COMETS FC VS STOMMERS FC
The Committee observed that the General Manager, Chief Coach and Secretary of Stommers FC were found guilty of interfering with the match proceedings.
However, the league decides as follows:
- That the General Manager of Stommers FC shall serve 3 match ban effective from their next game.
- That the Chief Coach and Secretary are given the last warning. Further involvement acts) capable of bringing the League to disrepute shall attract stiffer sanctions.
- That Stommers FC player with Jersey no. 18 by name Ibrahim luwatosin is hereby banned for 10 matches effective from their next game.
- That Stommers FC has been fined the sum of N1,000,000.00. In addition,
Stommers FC shall pay the sum of N100,000.00 for the Referee’s medical.
CASE 4: JEBU UTD FC VS OSUN UTD FC
Investigations carried out revealed that Osun Utd FC Secretary demonstrated unruly and unacceptable behavior during the match.
Consequently, the League decides as follows:
That in line with Article 15.5 and 15.7 of the NNI, rule book, Osun Utd FC is fined the sum of N500,000.00.
iv.
That Osun Utd FC Secretary is hereby suspended for 2 matches.
For allowing their fans to conduct themselves in a manner that is unaccepted to the League, Osun ltd FC is also fined the sum of N500,000 .00 only.
That Ijebu Utd FC shall play next 3 home matches under strict closed doors.
The above decisions are taken without prejudice to the concerned right to appeal to Disciplinary Committee within 48 hours of receipt of this letter.

The sanctions take effect immediately, starting from the next match-day.
