African Games: Super Falconets Edge Closer To Title Defense After Getting The Better Of Uganda

Christopher Danjuma’s Falconets edged closer to the African Games Women Football tournament title defense following the team’s 2-0 victory over Uganda at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Falconets, who remain unbeaten in the competition will play the winner of the second semi final between Ghana and Senegal.

Recalled the Flying Eagles of Nigeria were eliminated by Senegal in the men’s football competition and as such, the Falconets remain Nigeria’s only hope of a gold medal in the football category.

Goals from Adaobi Okah in the 74th minute and Chiamaka Okuchukwu in the 90th minute made sure that their place was sealed in the finals which will be played this weekend when the curtain is brought down on the African Games.
