2023 BOWFT: Tosan Blankson Hails Delta Queens Third Place Finish

Tosan Blankson has hailed Delta Queens third place finish in the 2023 BOWFT (Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament) after edging out NWFL newcomers and debutant Remo Stars Ladies by 3-1 to pick Bronze Medal winner.

The highly rated tactician admitted that he is satisfied with his side’s performance in this year’s edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament BOWFT in a post match interview where he also applauded the Nigerian Women Football League board.

“We came with the target of getting to the finals but we lost out on that by the whisker and had to settle for the third place match”, he bemoaned.

“Our opponent Remo Stars Ladies are newcomers though but they have given a good account of themselves as we look forward to meeting them again after we definitely must have worked on some of the lapses our technical side observed”.

“The Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament lived up to its billing as a pre-season tournament and we say big well-done to the organizers for a job well done”, Tosan Blankson added.

He said the team is looking forward to resuming hostility in the NWFL which is scheduled kick of on the 15th of November this year as the look to defend their crown after missing out on the CAF Women continental football.

The curtains will fall on the 2023 edition of Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) today as host Edo Queens and Bayelsa Queens lock horns for the big gong.
