Southampton Confirm Paul Onuachu’s Season Long Loan Move To Trabzonspor

Southampton FC English Championship side have confirmed that striker Paul Onuachu has completed a season-long loan move to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor with the temporary transfer subject to international clearance.

The 29-year-old has made 12 appearances for Saints following his arrival from KRC Genk in January but has made just one substitute appearance for Russell Martin’s side in 2023/24 after struggling to nail down a spot in the team.

The lanky striker failed to register a goal in all 12 league appearances for the Saints who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

He will be the third Nigerian to play for Trabzonspor following in the footsteps of Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme.

With this latest development, details of the move are expected in the coming days including the permanent purchase option.
