Nigerian Clubs Miss Out On Club World Cup As Arabians Dominate

Club World Cup

No Nigerian club will be participating at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The newly reformed tournament will involve 32 teams from across all FIFA federations.

Africa will have four representatives as confirmed following the semi final results of the CAF Champions League.

Al Ahly qualified to their fifth consecutive Champions League final at the expense of TP Mazembe and will take one of the four slots thanks to their consistency in the continental tournament.

Wydad Casablanca pick the other spot as one of the winners of the Champions League in the last three seasons.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Esperance Sportive Tunis complete the haul via their rankings and will join the first two to flag the continent’s flag in the United States next year.
