African Games: Flying Eagles Secure All Important Victory Over South Sudan

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have breathed life into their participation at the ongoing African Games after defeating South Sudan in a nervy 1-0 scoreline.

Sadiq Isiyaka hunted South Sudan’s defense line throughout the encounter and eventually got his reward in the 80th minute converting from the spot after so many wasted chances.

Ladan Bosso’s boys had lost their opening game to Uganda but did enough to redeem their themselves against the East African nation.

The win sets Nigeria up with a crucial game against Senegal who lost to Uganda in the earlier fixture as both sides battle for the second qualifying spot.
