NPFL 24: Plateau United See Off Enyimba FC In Nervy 1-0 Thriller To Go Third

Plateau United FC picked a vital home win against NPFL defending champions Enyimba international FC to go third on the log as they keep up blistering form.

The People’s Elephant were without head coach Finidi George who is ok national team duty with the super Eagles of Nigeria who are preparing to win a fourth AFCON title in Coted’Ivoire.

The team which was led by assistant coach Yemi Olanrewaju were stunned in the 8th minute of the encounter as Adam Yakubu scored a brilliant goal to give Plateau United the lead in a big atmosphere at the stadium.

Both sides pressed after the goal, creating chances upon chances but couldn’t find the back of the net despite the additional time.

With the early goal winning it for the Peace Boys, they are up to third on the log with 31 points.
