Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has today confirmed his departure from Israeli outfit Hapoel Jerusalem FC after a memorable six year stint where he made 103 appearances.
Adebayo Adeleye’s journey with Hapoel Jerusalem began with a senior debut against Hapoel Rishon LeZion. The following season proved pivotal as Adeleye’s impressive performance where in he kept 19 clean sheets played a key role in securing promotion to the Israeli Premier League as Hapoel Jerusalem finished runners-up in the Liga Leumit.
Adeleye’s farewell message:
“A big thank you to Hapoel Jerusalem for your supports and motivations, good 6 years with the club wasn’t a waste thanks for encouraging me to keep striving for the best you’ll Forever remain in my heart”.
His next club following his exit is yet unknown but there is time for him to negotiate a possible summer move to a top club due to his obvious goalkeeping qualities and abilities.

On the international scene with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Adebayo Adeleye began representing Nigeria at the youth level, playing for the U17 team in 2017 and 2018. He then progressed to the U20 squad for a period.
His talent was recognized by the senior national team in June 2022 when he received his first call-up. He finally made his senior international debut on June 18, 2023, in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone.
