Following an exceptional run in the Nigeria National League (NNL) to earn them promotion to the Nigeria topflight league, NPFL, El Kanemi Warriors have emerged champions of the 2024 President Federation Cup after a deserved 2-0 victory against Abia Warriors FC.
The Borno based outfit have now ended their 24 years wait for a trophy as well as getting a place in the 2024/25 CAF competition, all in a single season.
Alongside the title, they were also given #50 million naira as price money while Abia Warriors FC were rewarded as finalists with a sum of #20 million naira.

Earlier Rivers Angels had edged Naija Ratels FC 0 -1 to win their ninth FA Cup title at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
The grand finale saw top dignitaries in attendance including the minister of sports and youth development, NFF president, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, former NWFL chief, Aisha Falode, Nkechi Obi, Kunbi Titiloye, Desire Oparanozie, Joshua Akpudje as well as many others.
