ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships : Countdown Begins As Team Nigeria Gear Up For Busan 2024 Glory

ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships countdown as begun with less than 100 days to go, 40 countries are set to battle in the first ever table tennis finals which will be hosted in Korea Republic.

This marks Korea Republic’s first-ever hosting of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals, a long-awaited milestone that promises a unique experience for fans and a chance to celebrate Korea Republic’s place in table tennis history. 

With a slot at the upcoming Paris 2024 at stake, Team Nigeria and other participating countries are gearing up not just for Busan 2024 Glory but also for a berth at the Olympics for both the men and women category.

Presented by BNK Busan Bank, this prestigious event is set to take place at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO) from February 16 to 25, 2024.

President Petra Sörling stated: “Busan 2024 marks a truly remarkable moment as Korea Republic steps into the spotlight, hosting its inaugural ITTF World Championships Finals”.

“With Korea Republic’s enduring legacy in the sport, we have full faith in the Korea Table Tennis Association (KTTA) to deliver an exceptional event that not only showcases top-tier competition but also with a sustainable approach and mindset in the delivery of the event as well as the warm hospitality of Busan”.

“With the city’s rich culture and dynamic energy, we are confident that this championship will be an unforgettable experience for athletes and fans alike”, he added.

To add more glamour to the event, Busan 2024 announced a new partnership through the signing of a Presenting Partner agreement with BNK Busan Bank.

The Local Organising Committee Co-Presidents Ryu Seung-min and Park Heongjoon’s were joined by BNK Busan Bank esteemed President and CEO, Bang Seong Bin at a signing ceremony.
