Barcelona is weighing their options in advance of the January transfer window, and it seems like they might be persuaded to enter the free agent pool for the third consecutive year with Wilfred Ndidi seen as a perfect midfield coup.
Following the acquisitions of Franck Kessie, Ilkay Gundogan, and Andreas Christensen, Barcelona is once more searching England for less expensive options, albeit in the Championship.

According to Sport, they are still keeping an eye on Wilfred Ndidi, a midfielder from Nigeria following early rumors in September that they had him on their shortlist.
Ndidi, who is currently leading Leicester City in the Championship has only played slightly more than half of the team’s minutes this year. However, it has been reported that, during his peak Premier League seasons, he was being tracked.
The Blaugrana are believed to be in competition with Sevilla and Juventus as well. Before the upcoming season, Los Nervionenses want to reduce their payroll once more, and signing Ndidi could help them close additional deals.
Ndidi would fit the description of Deco, who was reportedly searching for a midfielder who could cover a lot of ground and screen the defense rather than drive the pace with the ball earlier on Friday.
Ndidi, on the other hand would be far more in line with their current economy than the three alternatives that were mentioned which would probably require a healthy transfer budget.
