The excitement continues! The African teams are back in action next week as they vie for a spot in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Mark your calendars for Match Day 3 and 4, happening between June 5th and 11th, 2024.
With the World Cup expanding to 48 teams for the first time ever, Africa has a chance to send a record number of participants! Nine teams will secure automatic qualification by winning their groups. The fight doesn’t end there though.
The four best runners-up will battle it out in a CAF Play-Off tournament, with the winner advancing to the FIFA Play-off Tournament for a final shot at glory.
