Benin City Youth League: Hot Starts for Dynamo Academica, BJ Foundation, Rockers FC

Dynamo Academica, reigning Champions of one of the most followed privately organized leagues in the country, the Benin City Youth league, as well as other clubs have kicked off their 2024 league campaign with victories.

The 2024 edition of the league which kicked off at the football pitch of the Edo State School of health, Dumez road, Benin City saw four fixtures on the first day of hostilities, Wednesday 26th of June, with Dynamo Academica edging newly promoted side Delight FC, 2-1.

Other matches includes an emphatic win for former Champions, BJ foundation FC as they sent their opponents to the cleaners with a 3-0 victory. Spotlight FC were lucky winners over Rolly FC as the latter didn’t report at the venue for the encounter, prompting a walkover situation, where 3points and 3goals were awarded to Sportlight FC.

Meanwhile the last game of the day saw Royal force FC and Ine Stars FC settled for a draw in a four goals thriller.

On Friday, 28th of June which was the second day of action in the first match day saw a rejuvenated Rockers FC team earn a win over fellow Egor LGA team, Genesis FC by 2-0. Sporting 24 FC were also in action as they spanked Eagles Wings FC by 3 goals to nothing.

The last game of the week was the keenly contested encounter between Benin Warriors and Mission side FC where Coach Omo’s Warriors won by a lone goal.

The week two line up of matches which will be played on Wednesday 3rd of July and Friday 5th of July will see the following lineup of matches:
