Andoma Basketball Tournament – Organizers Present Souvenirs, Kits To Hon. Jafaru Ango

Andoma Basketball Tournament organizers led by the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Basketball Association, Alh. Ayuba Tijanni and a few members of his Board cum Andoma Foundation presented souvenir kits to the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon. Jafaru Ango and Permanent Secretary Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi.

The presentation took place at the office of the Permanent Secretary in Lafia on Tuesday ahead of the commencement of the 5th edition of the Andoma’s Peace and Unity Basketball Tournament.

Also, there will be an Award Ceremony in honour of His Royal Highness, Alh. Dr. Aliyu Ahmadu Ogah Onawo, OON, the Andoma of Doma, scheduled for the Lafia Sports Arena formerly known as Lafia City Hall, along Shendam Road, Lafia, on Wednesday, 6th December, 2023 by 9am.

The Permanent Secretary equally received the Andoma Basketball Tournament kits for the Honourable Commissioner who was attending another function at the time of visit.

His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor, Nasarawa State, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the dunk off, while His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Deputy Governor, Nasarawa State, is the Guest of Honour.

His Royal Highness and Emir of Lafia, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage (Rtd) is the Royal Father of the Day.

Also expected at the opening ceremony is Engr. Musa Kida, President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation.

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, is the Tournament’s Chief Host.

The tournament will run from Wednesday to Saturday, 9th December, 2023.with sixteen teams from across Nigeria participating.
