AFCON Morocco 2025: Ivorian Title Winning Emerse Faé Set To Lead Draw Ceremony On Thursday

Emerse Faé, who orchestrated Cote d’Ivoire’s remarkable comeback at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 and guided the hosts to triumph is set to partake in the draws for the AFCON Morocco 2025.

As revealed by CAF, he is scheduled to arrive in South Africa on Wednesday for the upcoming Thursday’s Draw for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Qualifiers as Emerse Faé will serve as one of the draw assistants for the AFCON Morocco 2025 draw event.

At 40 years old, he orchestrated one of football’s most remarkable comeback narratives by leading Cote d’Ivoire to their third African title after a series of heart-stopping matches, including a victorious final against Nigeria.

Following this success, he was appointed as the head coach, enabling him to embark on a new chapter in a career that had only just begun months earlier.

Qualified Nations for the Qualifiers Draw: 

Morocco (hosts), Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, DR Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The qualifiers draw is scheduled to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday, 4 July 2024, at 14:30 local time (15:30 Cairo time, 12:30 GMT).

The event will be broadcast live on CAF TV (YouTube) and is expected to mark the beginning of another thrilling TotalEnergies AFCON journey following the unforgettable tournament in Cote d’Ivoire that captured global attention.
